Call for applications has now opened for our new Doctoral Training Programme BioAID

We welcome talented students to apply for BioAID: AI- and data-driven industrial biocatalysis https://www.bioaid-zyme.com, a cross-institutional BioAID Doctoral Training Programme, including world-leading experts from Queen's University Belfast, University of Manchester, University of Edinburgh and University of Bristol.

BioAID will train the next generation of scientists in Artificial Intelligence and data-driven approaches for translational biocatalysis, addressing critical needs in the development of sustainable biotechnologies.


How to apply

Applications will only be considered if they are submitted via Application portal  In your application, include the project title and supervisor name and contact details of two referees.

Funding Notes

The studentship is fully funded for 48 months.

The award covers tuition fees and an annual stipend at the UKRI rate for eligible candidate.

 

Project 1: De novo Enzyme Design for Biosynthesis

Supervisors: Dr Meilan Huang, Dr Mark McLaughlin 

 

Project 2: AI-Driven Discovery and Engineering of Novel Enzymes for Biogas Mitigation

Supervisors: Prof David Rooney, Prof Sharon Huws, Dr Meilan Huang
